Art auctions for drawings are categorized into antique, modern and contemporary. Antique drawings are any drawings that were produced before 1900. Modern drawings have to have been created between 1900 and 1949. Contemporary drawings are drawings that were created from 1950 until the present.

I’ve found that the best place to find collectible postcards is at art auctions. I was at an art auction in Eastlake, Ohio looking for stained glass and found them auctioning a lot of vintage collectible postcards. I bought the lot at the art auction and it contained almost three thousand beautiful collectible postcards.

Back in the 1990′s, a man by the name of Pierre Omidyar, who had a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, received a complaint from his then girlfriend (now wife) — a collector of Pez dispensers — that there wasn’t any easy way for her to connect with other collectors for trading. There is no doubt that consumer choice is important but the poor sites will quickly develop a reputation and these will find themselves being shunned by users in favor of more popular sites on the market. Each consumer out there may have their own definition of what constitutes a great penny online auctions site but being able to sell great range of products and goods at affordable prices will surely come high in the list of criteria for everyone.
