What is the difference between a DBA and INC?

I am planning to run an online small auction website like ebay, I want to incorperate it so my business will look like: mybusiness Inc. If I file a DBA will it do this? Do I incorporate it? What is DBA and Incorporation? Do I need a TAX ID? What is TAX ID? THANKS!
