will a city of 100 000 people hold storage unit auctions?

Auction
hey, my city has around 100 000 people with 6-8 storage unit facilities in the city. I was wondering if it was a big enough city to hold auctions for the units.

any info on the subject would be helpful, thanks.

Why wouldn’t it? It might keep a lot of stuff out of landfills. Only thing is, needs to be in contract for rental or a contract update that they will do that to remedy late / past due rental contract units.

Probably. Find out by visiting http://www.storageunitauctionlist.com, USA’s largest storage unit auction directory!

Anytime somebody stops paying their monthly fee for storage, it goes into a lien and eventually an auction – regardless of the size of the city. I lived in a city with 20,000 people and even we had storage auctions about once per month.

Check the StorageUnitAuctionList site for the quickest way to find a comprehensive list. The only drawback is that they charge, so it’s more for serious auction owners.

If you’re just wanting to attend a couple to see what it’s about, check the public notices section of your local paper (near the classifieds). In most states, it’s a law that storage facilities post there a couple weeks before the auction. Just keep checking it every day.

Not every storage facility will have an auction, but most do. The size of the city is irrelevant, auction occur everywhere.
