Your Questions About Ebay Car Auctions Vehicle

Richard asks…
I won ebay car auction, have not paid for it…seller threatening small claims lawsuit…?
I was bidding for a car on eBay, however, 7 hours before the bid was over…I noticed the seller was possibly Shill Bidding (I have reported to eBay, yet have not received a response) so I made an excuse to get out of the bid as to not accuse him of fraud since I figured it would ultimately be up to him whether or not I could get out of the bid. I haven’t paid for the car, which was 2000 grand, and the seller keeps sending me emails requesting I pay it. I have not responded to his emails since I explained I would not be paying for it after I won the item. Now he’s threatening me saying he’ll take me to court. If he takes me to court, can he sue for 2000$ or simply for the 100$ or so in listing fees. Can eBay simply re-fund all his money? He also said he’ll sue me for lawyer expenses… is that allowed in small claims court? What should I do?? I don’t want the vehicle since he cheated (Shill Bidding – he used fake accounts to UP the price to my maximum bid) and I don’t want to do business with someone that threatens to take me to court.

Carol asks…
How much are the Ebay motor fees on auctioning a car?
I have sold lots of stuff on ebay but never a vehicle. My uncle wants to sell his 1970 Buick Riviera 455. He wants to get 6500.00 for it. I tried reading the seller fees but got confused. Can anyone explain it to me? Thanks!

What’s confusing?
It’s free to list and you pay $125 if the car sells. If you use optional services you pay whether the car sells or not.
