Your Questions About Los Angeles Police Car Auction

By admin on April 16, 2011

Chris asks…

Where can I find a public car auction that has impounded cars from the police? Los Angeles only?

I’m looking to buy cars but I need something near the South Bay area or the Los Angeles surroundings areas!!!

You really don’t want to buy from police auction most of the cars do not have keys to them they were abandoned for a reason some of them are there for non payment of tickets if original owner didn’t want them do the price of a ticket why do you find the auctions that are public and get dealer cars in. They have keys you can start them up and almost all of them will be in better shape then at a police auction. Look in your yellow pages or yahoo car auctions in your area

Donna asks…

Does anyone know of any police car auctions/auctions in Los Angeles?

My car broke down last week and I need/have to get something in a hurry, I heard police car auctions were something I should look into.

Also, If you have any tips on what I should look for and how to possible get the best deal. If you know of any other auctions that would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

I was in a similar situation and I did some research trying to find seized cars. It turned out that I actually was able to buy a car from the Department of Energy. There are a ton a federal auctions all over the country. According to federalgovernmentsales.com, there are over 15 different government departments that have auctions regularly.

I hope this helps.
