I read a story the other day that the antiques business on eBay was dead.  I couldn’t disagree more.  It is true that really expensive top notch antiques don’t sell on eBay like they did in the early days –but lower cost antiques and collectibles are still doing really well on eBay.

Antiques and collectibles are great products to sell because they typically have very high markups.  I can go to a garage sale or a small country auction and pick up things that I can mark up 200%, 300% or more.

If you don’t know what to buy or sell –here are two great books that can help you. The Dummies book is somewhat old –published in 1999 –but all of the info in there is still good today.  The antique Roadshow book is a great reference book to carry with you when attending garages sales, auctions or flea markets.
