When will “The Tales Of Beedle The Bard” be available to everyone?

By admin on November 8, 2010

As you know, J.K. Rowling recently finished writing The Tales Of Beedle The Bard.
As of now, only seven copies exist, six of which have already been given to friends of J.K. and one of which will be on auction at Sotheby on December 13.
When will the general public be able to buy it?
If anyone has any other info, that would be nice to know too!

I really don’t think it will be available to everyone. That’s why this auction is such a big deal.

Apparently its leather bound with semi-precious stones on the cover, so even if they mass-produce it, it would be very expensive to make… personally I would die to have it, but it just isn’t going to happen.

It never will because she only made 7 coppies!

At least originally, they were only for her friends, then she decided to do a specially bound edition to auction off for charity.

My best guess would be that it might come out next year. It might come out as a stand alone, if it is long enough. I could also see it come out as a an appendix to DH, but that would alienate those who already have DH. She also might put it into the Harry Potter encyclopedia.
